Wow i never knew all these were free and compatible. i seea larger HDD in my future. I really have never needed MS Orifice i just installed it cuz i had to send alot of documents to my attorney and lol he could not open word pad files. All i really need is the Word part and so far Wrod pad served me fine for my needs anyway. Until i sent a Word Pad file to my attorney and he could not open it. i have no idea why unless its a vista versus xp thing. Any thoughts there?
but i think office007 uses 300 meg or so and i have the OEM of works as well its around 300 meg. Looks to me they Both do the same. But are works Docs compatable with Orifice docs. i just keep them both cuz i never knwo when i need them.
Natella what do you consider heavy, for all Orifice does it seems kinda light to me but if i can save space i will

What do you meant I can edit my docs? You are saying I am not able to delete or add extra words to my docs is it and all I can do is see it?
PS. I could still edit my docs like normal. the x days was 1 day. Today they do not put you have how many days. My office came with my computer. I didnt buy or install it. It came when I send my computer for reformatting.Thoughts are like a never ending ocean where it is deep, endless and dangerous

OK, i did not mean OOffice being "heavy" because of its size generally. I meant its interface a little bit complicated (for me at least) and also it is slow compare to Microsoft Office when working with it. Again it may be because i just tried OO on my slow Vista laptop otherwise on more stronger computers OO might be just the right choice.

Huh? My Microsoft Office Genuine Advantage clearly puts it is not genuine.
1. By the way, if I were to uninstall it, and install Office 2007, it could open up Office 2003 right?
2. Whatever Office 2007 install on my computer, it can open on my sis or dad's computer who uses Office 2003 right?

If you save it in Office 97-2003 format it will.

If you save the Office file to .docx (format for Word 2007), it cannot be opened in any previous version of Office. But, it you save a file as .doc (Word 97-2003 format), it is backward compatible.
And mind you, turning Office Genuine is not at all difficult, you just need to use Google.
