Quesiton on ports

I have a few question on ports.

1. What is a port? (This I really don't know. I know is like a door. Other than that, I do not know)

2. Recently I just altered my port on utorrent. Does it affect my system?

3. How do I revert to the original port (the time before I change the port in the connection section in utorrent)

4. What is the function of each port? (eg, like there got 45321 and other stuff)

5. What is the difference between ports of different number?

A port can be considered a hole to allow the internet in and out.

Other then the fact you changed which one uTorrent connects to? Nope.

No clue, but the default is 32459, if you want to change it back.

Port 80 and 8080 do your web browser. Port 443 25 and 587 are common email ports. Port 666 is for Doom (DON'T LAUGH, IT'S TRUE), Port 8 (on my desktop) is my server's port. These are the only ones I know off the top of my head.

Some ports might be throttled by your ISP, and if too many programs access the same port at the same time, you get slowed down.
