I love Vista..
But Windows 7.. hmm.. and now they're gonna focus on Windows 8.. meaning that Windows 7 will start going downhill

I used to love vista just as much as you Mark but now i'm back to hating it, a lot of the mentioned things are a stereotype like incompatibilities but there is a lot of problems
Ubuntu releases a lot quicker and has less security problems. Need i say more?

I just love the way you flame Windows users ,yet, with a "Windows Vista User" being displayed proudly in your little Sig.

As for, Linux, we all know how good it is. It is he best choice when it comes to Servers and now on Desktop PCs too.

I cannot be bothered recreating the sig. It was before HDD fail in my laptop where i used to use it, I really need to rebuild that sig, haha.
Anyway If you think that is flame you should have seen this mac user in this IRC network. He was one of those people who really like one brand. And this one was apple despite the many problems apple has with pricing.

Still, windows is not that bad, its just microsoft has got slightly off the track after the big success of XP, they just need to be more focused, remove ugly aero and make windows open source, thats it.

6 months Brayden. But they are supported for a good length of time. Like 8.04, being supported until 2013. And that was released in 2008!
Solaris, do you really think MS will make Windows OSS? And risk showing the world of the CIA key?
And remove Aero? Then what's the point of selling it? To have an up-to-date OS? Who wants that?
Mark, I don't mean to harp, nor do I mean this to be offensive. But perhaps try the LiveCD? I know many people that have tried the liveCD, some love it, like Brayden. Some hate it, like my mom. But it can give you a good idea of what is out there.
Haddon, if you need any help with Linux, we're more then willing to help. I've used Linux for the past 2 years now (I do believe this marks the second year). I've never looked back.
And finally, Karsh. For the longest time, *nix ran the server world. Now it's coming to desktops and netbooks. It will run the world once Microsoft runs itself into the ground

If you don't like Aero, just go to Appearance and turn it off...you might be suprised by the overall performance improvements...especially if you are short on RAM.
