dial-up internet connection speed
Those of you who don't have broadband internet, and hence suffer from slow connections, take a look at the new Opera browser, which is really fast. On the website it says:
"Opera Turbo easily delivers 3x to 4x the speed of slower connections and can offer broadband-like speeds on dial-up."
Why not give it a try!
Just google for Opera 10

It'd be a gimmick to help get people to use their browser, NOTHING and I mean NOTHING will make a dialup connection seem the least bit faster, let alone broadband, if you want speed, clean up your computer and get a better package with your ISP, if you can't do that, then suffer. Or get a job or promotion if you already have a job.

Yea, Streamyx deserves to be hacked.
Opera 10 doesn't make dial-up into broadband or other high speed package.

I think it uses the same thing as that on opera mini on my mobile. It reduces size of traffic by compressing it and then allowing your browser to view the compressed stuff. If it worked on a mobile, technically it should work on a pc.

I hope you know about cross server redirection technology though it doesn't seem like you do. The turbo mode in Opera 10 sends a request to Opera servers where the website you're trying to visit is compressed and sent back to the browser. As the download size is much smaller than the initial source code itself, you'll get a decent browsing speed.
No-where Opera Team claims to convert a Dial-up into a broadband. Check out their website if you're not sure about the fact.
The Turbo mode does decrease the page load times for sure but it doesn't do that too well if you've got a faster connection. In my case, it did only 2X. I've tested it on my rig and you know me, I never claim until I experiment myself.
Although Firefox is the best of the lot, the Opera team is working hard. Still, Opera 10 beta is not the world's fastest browser. Chrome 3 beta, Minefield 3.6a, Chrome 2, Firefox 3.5 and Safari 4 are just a bit faster than Opera 10b.
