Spin Dell inspiron 1150 - bios password - athentication system

Hello, I am having an issue with my laptop.

It was working fine until the other day.

Now when I turn it on I get to the normal DELL Flash Screen (where it says press F2 for setup and F12 for Boot Menu.
    (BIOS REVISION A05)

The problem is,.. whether I hit F2, F12, or nothing else - I get this screen and can go no further. I have not set any BIOS Passwords, nor any other type of passwords.

Also, the Booting Sequence is NOT set to boot from cd first.

Can someone please help me with this situation?

I have contacted Dell several times only to be told a lie.

Thanks for any and all help.

So even if you don't press anything, you can't get in Windows and it tells you that you can't go any further?

Can you give tell me the exact error message that you're seeing on your screen?

What I get is that if not u then sumbody else has set either the system password or admn. password.

sorry but I don't know the solution. Its better if u contact the Dell authorities. Might they be having some master password.

    Hello and thanks for responding...

    Raymond,

    My Service tag is: 4977y51

When I turn it on I get to the normal DELL Flash Screen (where it says press F2 for setup and F12 for Boot Menu.
    (BIOS REVISION A05)
The pretty little white boot/load bar that fills with white color as the pc begins to boot. Runs through, then...

This message appears on the screen.

This computer system, #4977751-A95B, is protected by a password authentication system. You cannot access the data on this computer without the correct password.

Please type in the primary or administrator password and press <Enter>.

On a Dell, one of the options to get into BIOS is (while pressing) the <ALT> key, hit <ENTER>.
Or try (in all CAPS) typing DELL for the password.

Also, Im hoping that there is a quick method other than searching for the eeprom chip. However, I did strip it down to the motherboard and put it back together. I looked for a chip(s) that would fit the description of the remedy that was posted in and It seems that I found a couple that stands out to me.

    With the naked eye...

    it looks to be

    ATMEL 424
    24C1B or 24C16

Gonna have to get a magnifyer if I have to go the "shortening" route.
I know nothing about the correct pins to short nor how to count and what direction.

If ATMEL is facing me...Where would be pin 1?

    Im totally confused.

Thanx polkadot, but doesn't work for me

It's not set-up boot from the cd drive first.

No CD has the chance to read because of the booting order.
Can't change the booting order because of the message that I get.

I have been reading and reading and reading, and..I just cant come up with a solution for this.

I have heard that I may need a USB 2.0 Bootable Floppy Drive but I don't have one.

I do have a Thumb drive, Flash Drive (Sandisk Cruzer)
and probably all of the materials that I would need to build the USB 2.0 Bootable Floppy Drive if there is a detailed guide. (So far I haven't been able to find one)
