    I think this might be the reason for this interface. But i dont think it is necessary for them to compete as google is used by above 65 percent of internet users for search purpose.

    Take Googlel for what it is..The best search eng. out there...bottom line. Their new 'caffeine' showed great promises, but it is NOW rejecting one of my favorite add-ons, AND frigging up on my search requests. Until they get it RIGHT, their new engine has LOST me. If this continues, they will become my third choice...after Wiki, and I hate to say it, ASK. Right now, ASK is actually doing better than "caffeine". Google LOST me as a regular user!

    There are bugs in Caffeine. On one search, it showed four hits on the first page, but clicking on page 2,3, etc it merely reloaded page one. Regular Google gave me many hits on the same search. My Googlepedia add-on no longer works, and they have doubled the amount of ad space on a page.
    I do find it to be faster than regular Google search.
