    Can we still trust Comodo?

    Can we still trust Comodo?

We all know that Comodo 'gives away' quality products for free but it seems that the 'company' might be involved in certain dubious business practices...

It seems that Comodo is 'selling' certificates to malware creators or distributors...

Reading these posts and articles, I am beginning to lose trust upon Comodo. However, I try to see things on both sides and after lots of Googling, I can't decide whether Comodo is trustable anymore. As such, I requests you guys to read more about this 'issue' and feel free to share your views/opinions on this matter.

P.S. Please do not start 'bashing' Comodo here...let's discuss in a diplomatic way...

    Major update:

I have officially 'banned' Comodo products from my list of recommendations...I simply can't trust it anymore despite whatever 'reasons' or 'excuses' they can come up with...Read Ashraf's article here and you would understand why...

Paying a price to use free software: the dark side of Comodo products

I like their Firewall as it sorts of give you security with its Defense +.
if I have to dump their firewall, I will go for Outpost.
But I am speechless on what Comodo gotten itself into.

All the same, is all common sense. With common sense, you won't get infected. Not to mention being greedy helps you to be infected. hehe...

    Most likely is true.

I'm friends with the author of these blog posts, MysteryFCM. Comodo should hire him and a few others as consultants instead of treating them as if they know nothing.

Comodo seems to have a new business model and it consists of making money...period!

I dumped them when their problems first started a few years back, can't trust them to protect my system any longer
Now only Online Armor 3.5.0.32 paid does the job and is rated if not the best it should be. Mike Nash has a wonderful respect for his users whether free or paid

Very true. www.emsisoft.com (a-squared) and Online Armor have teamed up and both softwares have gotten much better as a result.

I'm a Comodo user before ~ I admire their effort in bringing free security applications to everyone but the said wrong practices above is enough for me to stop recommending their product...

Should I uninstall my Comodo firewall and switch to Outpost straightaway since Comodo is making deals with the devils?
