Security Setup Advice
Hey All,
Been visiting site often and have really enjoyed the 'freebies' section obtaining a lot of good 'free' software.
I have obtained A2 and Webrot Spysweeper from this forum. I have PC Tools Security Suite installed and have been happy with its performance, even though I read some not so good reviews. I added A2 as a backup and it was very noisy (still is and some FP's) but overall a good program.
I may have then gone into overkill but I also added Webroot Spysweeper and it was very noisy to begin with.
Now I have the problem that my CPU use oftens spikes up to 100% whilst surfing.
Of the two - A2 and Webroot, which should I keep or should I keep both and configure them differently. I would appreciate the assistance.
Thanks All

a-squared seems to have been hitting the top spot for detecting malware.
You should keep a-squared anti-malware.

Max Payne, be careful...don't overkill your system with too much security software...
As for your question, between A2 and Webroot SpySweeper, I would say choose A2 although I am in favour of MalwareBytes...it's just a matter of personal preference.
P.S. No grudge against PCTools but from what I hear, its detection rates are not as good as others...if I can recommend, try Avira or Avast...but if you prefer 'paid' security software, go for Kaspersky or Eset...BUT if you are determined to keep PCTools, may I suggest 'downgrading' to PCTools Antivirus as you are already using other antimalware programs on your PC..just my two cents..
They call me the mysterious one...
my motto is...when it's hot, chill baby
