I bought my PC with Vista before the upgrade issue is introduced. As such, I won't be able to get this "free" upgrade.

If you bought a PC after the date, it is free, but if you bought it before the date, then it is NOT! Simple math. If you bought it before the date, and a salesman said it could be updated, he was BS'ing you, and he can not be trusted. Read the forums, and learn before you trust a salesman!

Confirmed for Acer - ordered right from their site, and was told 'no charge' (not even for shipping) - received order confirmation.

    Will be shipped when available.

yup ,Sony is charging $15 for Vista + $25 for shipping this sucks IMO ,but I have no other choice .

I don't know from which country they are sending ,but the site is Japanese (Sony link ).WTH they need $25 for only cd's .

here in India -Acer charges app $23 .

MS can be taken to court for this rubbish advertising .
