    can i use my (D:) drive

    Well as the days past I've been downloading to many things and noticed my C: drive is getting full, and I what to know if its okay to use my D: dive. I've read that it may not be safe to use it for some reason I don't really thing its true but I rather make sure with you guys .

    You can well use D drive to install any 3rd party software. Have been using this quite sometime and no issues so far. Suggest create new directory in D drive (ex: C:\Installed Software) only meant for software installation so that 3rd party software folders won't mix up with other stuff.

    u can use the c drive to store system files and other junk in D just like i do no prob in that

    for me...C for system and critical file...then D is free for all....i limit my C to 25GB...then the reamining is for D....a whopping 225GB..lol

    it best to leave C: for windows and associated software and store all your data in other partition. if ever need to format to remove your non-working OS in future, then your job will be easier.

    i'm agree with that...just change the Os only...
    then just installing all the critical soft..(like office and drivers on C)..
    easy as piss...lol

    D:drive for Music, Videos, Pictures, etc.

    Mine is also the same as safe guy.
    But you can also install programs on driver D but sometimes the appliaction files messes all over so u need to be careful when installing. But some programs wont work when installed on driver d.

    D and other partitions : Games, movies, musics,....

    And my doc folder is always in other partition than c:
