64-Bit Vista, unable to boot to bios, tried everything, any ideas?

As I said, I am unable to get to bios so I can boot to my cd. I have a 64-bit Vista repair disk and an Acronis rescue disk, neither of which I can get to. PLEASE help! What can I try? I've tried every F-1 through F-12 combo I can think of...holding them down, pushing repeatedly, holding esc...holding delete, nothing is working. My screen is black...meaning, it is just like it is when in hibernation, etc. During all of my attempts, it did work once and went to my desktop, but unfortunately I tried to restore my acronis image instead of doing a system restore and it restarted...dumb....back to the old problem again.

Any ideas of how I can get into bios so I can get to my boot menu? Anything quirky that worked for you in the past?

I do not have the full install disk, it was already on my computer when I bought it..so I only have the reinstall version.

    Thanks.

The computer is running, it makes the two beeps when you just start up windows, then it sounds like it always does when it's idle. The LED is solid. The light on the monitor is exactly was if it was in hibernation, where it turns orange and pulsates.

open the case and move the cmos jumper over a pin for 10 secs or remove battery
