As I said, when you install your Windows 7, the first thing you do is update everything (windows update)
Download and run DriverPack 9 Solution Professional and make sure you have all the drivers.
Return your homepage of IE 8 and firefox to google.
Then install macriium reflect free.
Make a backup of the partition you install 7 in.
Keep it in another drive.
That way, in case you need to reformat, just restore the drive image and everything is as good as new!
Restoring image is quicker than reformating. But that also depend on how big is your drive. (C)Thoughts are like a never ending ocean where it is deep, endless and dangerous

Trying the Same Thing
OK,so I went for the $15 copy of Win7 off Ebay-insert uncontrollable laughter >here< Got my serial and download links for 32 and 64bit.This will be my first DVD burning attempt,so I Googled around and found this -Seems pretty straight forward, but I have some related questions.Seems a download manager is recommended for a file that size-I use FF so I need one of those.Next I need to know what kind of blank DVD to buy-all of the -'s +'s R's and W's are confusing as hell to this old guy.I read I should go with DVD format as opposed to CD for any file over 700MB-yes/no? Also,to "burn at the slowest speed"-need advice on that. Does anyone have a recommendation for Easy To Use burning software (Win7 32bit compatible),or is the one in the article OK for my purposes? I've checked my disk drive and it's a DVD RW Optiarc AD-7580S so I should be good to go,I hope.Seems from that I have to go DVD format.Like I said,my first time on a burn and using a DLM,so simple software and directions please. All functions are to be performed on PC running Win7 32bit-I'll see what I can install on after I get a working bootable DVD-Thanks for ANY help!

Answer.
1. Generally, I prefer a download manager to speed things up for everything I download. Get IDM if you can afford it. If not, A very good alternative is Orbit Downloader.
2. DVD-R/DVD-RW. DVD-RW stands for rewritable (you can erase the dvd and make it blank and reuse it again). I will go for DVD-R as a Windows CD, I am sure you will want to keep it. DVD-R is cheaper too!
3. Of course you should go with DVD format. A CD can't fit a ~2.3GB of .iso file. A CD max space is only ~700mb. A DVD on the other hand fits ~4gb. Now, that is ~5x the space of a CD.
4. Since the file you are going to download will be in the form of .iso format, you cannot burn the normal way. Use Imgburn for it.
5. How to burn an image file (.iso format) using Imgburn, look here.
