    USB Safeguard: anybody tried?

    Hi everybody,

I was searching for a way to protect data on a usb pen drive and have found this freeware USB Safeguard. I’ve read about here.

It says: “the only solution is to protect your pen driver partition with password which would protect your important or personal files & documents, while you are sharing your USB drivers with others. One of such Freeware, which enables users of pen drives or removable drives to encrypt and protect data with a password on your removable pen drives using the AES 256 bits encryption is USB Safeguard. Most importantly, it is totally portable & easy to use along with your sharable removable drives. Simply drag and drop files and folders to quickly protect your sensitive documents, and then enter an password to encrypt and decrypt the files that you want to protect from prying eyes.”

Features of USB Safeguard includes :
    • Runs with any usb pen drive
    • No installation required
    • Easy drag & drop file adding
    • Built in file shredder
    • Secure your data if drive is lost
    • Supports FAT, FAT32 & NTFS
    • 100% portable

Has anybody ever tried this software? Is it really safe and good? Are there better freeware alternatives?

Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions.

if i recall in some point LunarWolf also asked for such an app and Ceyfer and Hellnoire also had a couple of suggestions so you might want to search in forum... or in blog...

I downloaded it, I haven't tried it yet (my drive needs to be unencrypted via a non-admin account, and I believe with this, you need an admin account to unlock it.)
