Is it safe to use an optical lens cleaner in a DVD-RW drive?

Is it safe to use an optical lens cleaner (like the one shown below) in a DVD-RW drive?

Will it affect the burning stuff inside?

I never use optical lens cleaner in my CD-RW & DVD-RW (4 & 1 years old) but still I get very good performance but some of my friend use optical lens cleaner & they thin that it gives better performance than before.

It will not affect your drive Mark. Its just designed to clean the lens head when its extremely cloaked with dust.

Using it frequently is unnecessary.
