Format Factory perhaps It's a favorite among many here...

    Review by Ashraf here (dotTech):

The only free file (audio, video, image) converting program you will ever need

Oh yes, there's also another one recommended by Ashraf...it's....

iWisoft Video Converter: Terrific freeware video and audio converter

Take your pick or take them both...

Not to forget, there's also Super if you need advanced configuration...the interface doesn't suit me though

And yes...there's also Any Video Converter which isif I'm not wrong "popular" on CNET download.com...

iWisoft also does USB (i discovered after you posted that), extract w/Uniextract n copy all inside {app} - i like Pazera bcoz its the smaller of them all, i can select which components to use (no iPod, iPad n weird stuff like that here) n its portable n works fine; i also got another one that supports a bunch of formats and its portable too which is XMedia Recode but i dont have much experience with it, looks like its very popular - portable is the way to go

There's also another one that I used before...Quick Media Converter...it's 'like' Format Factory, although perhaps with fewer options...
