After 7 hours, suddenly many small dots appear on the screen. See the picture. It's not a dead pixels because after I restart the computer. The dots gone. This is the first time I have seen this problem.

If you can take a screenshot of the dots, then it is surely not the monitor.
Never experienced such problem before but the first thing I would do is update the display driver.

what did u recently change in ur system with software/hardware?
    - Installed VIPRE premium 3 days ago.
    - Installed some games from Steam.
    - I have 3 hard drives. 2 SATA and 1 IDE drive.
The computer is working fine. It's just suddenly appearing many dots.

ok..i'm ruling out VIPRE ..so may be the games, as they have a lot to do with the video/display driver.

Even though u have latest driver, i still insist u re-install it.

Let us know how it goes.

Did you change the background by any chance? Is it just happening on your desktop or in applications too?

No, I haven't changed the background since I installed Windows 7.
Yes, the dots all over my applications.
For example, when I open FF, the dots show up on FF. When I play movie, the dots show up in movie.
After I restart the computer, the dots gone. I don't know when it will come back?

See if the cable connection is tight and the card is properly installed physically. Just a guess.

That's one of the saner options I've heard yet... worth a shot unless you use the onboard/built into motherboard video card.
