Even I have noticed this. For now, you'll have to visit manually by clicking "Yahoo.com" link on Yahoo India. This will save a cookie & next time when you refresh or visit again - you'll be directed to yahoo.com. This goes off once cookies are cleared. I am also searching a workaround for this.

A temporary solution would be, In FF3
Visit yahoo.com manually once. This will save cookie.
    goto Tools>Options>Privacy>Show Cookie
yahoo.com> a cookie with cookie name "DNR".
You'll have to retain this cookie.

Or when you get Yahoo India page, paste this in address bar & press Enter.

    javascript:setDNR(1);void(0)

Yahoo World is better that localised versions. And there'll be so many options & stuff in Yahoo World like movies etc whereas Yahoo India gives only India specific stuff.
