Look what I found while scrolling through the secret corners of Microsoft website.

The placeholder page for the Windows 7 End User License Agreement is now alive (and has been for at least 2 weeks).

What the hell are Microsoft trying to do by posting Windows 7 EULA?. Instead they should post some updates and news regarding the look and architecture of Windows 7.

Windows 6 (no one uses this term) refers Windows Mobile 6.

Windows 7 was formerly known as Blackcomb and Vienna.
Seven because this will be the seventh version of the Windows kernel, whereas Vista delivers the sixth.

yes that was the first video on the net that gave the insights of windows 7 and created rumors about the new kernel called minwin.

and we usually do not refer vista or xp by a number because they had different codenames.
5 is kernel version of xp & 6 is the kernel version of Vista & server 2008 OS.
    - Vista was known by its codename "Longhorn".
    - XP had its codename "whistler"

Windows 7, (formerly codenamed Blackcomb and later Vienna) is the working name for the next major version of Microsoft Windows as the successor to Windows Vista.
Windows 7 is an OS name (as well as kernel number) & not a codename.
