video card compatiblitiy with motherboard
For awhile now I have tried several different video cards, one was the Nvidia 6600, a PCI card (forgot the name) and the ATI Radeon 512mb video card. None of those were compatible with my motherboard.
I have been using the same graphics card since 2004 - Nvidia Geforce 4200 and I'd really love to update ...
so my question is, how do I find out what is compatible with my motherboard?
such as features and 128mb, 256 or 512? My computer has 1 AGP slot and 4 PCI slots.
Via P4PB 400 motherboard
Or what would be a motherboard and video card combo that will still accept DDR SDRAM 2700/333mhz ? (As an update to what I already have)Utah Nature & Portrait Photographer | Comodo IS Premium | MBAM Pro | Tune Up Utilities 2011

you will need a card ,which is compatible with AGP slot .
it will hard to find such cards ,since they are obsolete .Newer onces support PCI-E
like nVidia GeForce 7800GS AGP,nVidia GeForce 7600GS AGP.
look here

if possible upgrade your pc as a whole ,like Motherboard ,Graphic card ,processor ,ram etcLast edited by stuge; 07-07-2009 at 06:58 AM.
