    Linksys WRT160N

    Hi,

I m currently using linksys WRT160N router (firmware 1.53.0) to connect to internet. I have configured the security settings based on MAC filter, WPA2 and changed the admin password. the problem what I am facing is that, after every 2 - 3 days the router get automatically reset and all my network become unsecured, as well admin password is reset to default.

Can anyone suggest something? or do i need to update the firmware??

    Thanks

I have a WRT54G that after 3-4 days I can't get back to the settings without reset. After 2 years of fighting this I'm changing to a better router soon. Both problems come up a lot in the linksys forums to often

I use a Belkin router and have no troubles. My guess is for you to buy a new router.

You should probably try updating the firmware. If that doesn't work, you can even try going for a third-party firmware. Tomato is a great alternative if you do need to turn to one.
