multimedia audio controller

for the past 2 day my computer is not producing any sound when i went to the device manager i can see a yellow exclamation mark near the multimedia audio controller.my computer os is windows xp manufacturer is dell anybody please help

We'll need more information then that to help you.

What type of Dell is it, the model number? It should say on it somewhere.

If you really have to, run UDI and it will tell you the name of your sound card so you can look up the sound driver.
