My computer get several hours to boot. When i switched on the computer the power suply unit, processor, fan installed on the processor, fan on the VGA card seem started but not the harddisk and no message to be seen on the monitor. It takes some times 2 hours for the harddisk to be started. How can i solve this problem?. Sometimes The hardware system never boot up and those occations i got to switch off the computer. After the system boot up taking one or two hourse, the windows xp booted up normaly. Configuration: PIII, 933Mhz, 128 RAM, 20GBHD. How can i solve the boot delay problem?

This appears to be a failing hdd or the powersupply isnt giving your harddrive enough power and it trys to constantly spin up then stops then spins then by luck it has just enough power to get past the surgepeak for the hdd motor this is a common problem with the bigger hdd's and external hdd enclosures. try upgrading your power supply

tucsondirect is right. It might be a power supply problem.
