Angry Cannot see the DVD-RW drive in My Computer

Now i'm having a annoying problem with my brothers computer and the problem is.
I cannot see the D: drive in my computer here is the screen shot.

This is really annoying because then i cannot install games, now the computer Does Not have internet connection and isn't networked, but recently I've upgraded it from windows vista to windows xp service pack 2 so then i lost all the drivers and when i went to the hp website for the model computer they didn't have drivers for windows xp so i went to the drivers for windows vista and it only had a firmwire update for the dvd drive which when i googled for a xp version and got one it didn't work. the computer is a Compaq Presario SR5260AN Desktop PC.
the os windows xp pro service pack 2 (not genuine)
and the shop we got it from didn't provide a driver cd anyway but the computer has a backup partition as you can see in the image, this partition does have drivers in it but the problem is they are windows vista ones.

please help because we cannot access discs with this problem.

also when i run emulators like power iso or daemon tools they are able to create a image drive and the autorun works perfectly normal on them

The following script should fix your problem. Run it

Or the manual way from MS :
