    Processor help

I am wondering which of these processors would be faster a Athlon 64 x 2 dual core 5000+ or a Intel Pentium dual core e5200?
The Athlon is in a Compaq machine sr5510f ,and the Intel is in a Hp Pavilion a6620f.
i know these are not the best machines but money is very tight and these are cheap and pretty good in some ways.
i just keep reading that the Intel is not fast like it is suppose to be and some sites say it is.
Just want a little feed back pls.

    Thks

athlon will cheaper and faster than the Intel without any overclocking but if you want overclocking choose Intel, overclocking will make processor faster but it will make it hot

Go for Athlon, they are the best and cheap that you can find.

Intel= Good Performance, Reliable and Long Life.
AMD=Better Performance, Not the most reliable and nor long life Processors (well it's my experience).

Therefore, the choice is yours but I would go for Intel although AMD is not bad.

intel all the way, its bit expensive but worht to buy, you can use AMD for less budget but in my opinion if your gonna use it for a long time why not buy the intel it will not let you down
