free proxy server run net on 20 comps

Dear all let me share a free proxy server from analogx called proxy. it is a nice easy to install and use proxy server that runs on port number 6588. just download it from this link and intall it. it is very lite and sits in the system tray. just go to any other comp in the network open ie go to tools menu choose options go to connections go to lan connection. check "automatically detect settings". in the proxy server address provide the ip of the lan card that connects the comp with other lan on which proxy is installed and in the port number type 6588 and that's it you are done. but before you try to open a site on other computer make sure you check that your computer can reach to the computer which is connected to the modem(on this comp u will install proxy). use ping command. for example the comp on which the internet modem is connected has an ip 192.168.1.1(ip on local area not the ip provided by the isp) so on this comp install proxy. run proxy. Go to other comp on the lan open start go to run type "ping 192.168.1.1" without quotes(your ip can be different). see that the reply is coming. then only do the setting of internet explorer as explained above.Thanks. if any queries post a reply in the thread. oops fogot to provide the links. go here
