Dear all,
i usually need to transfer files b/w my Desktop(running vista ultimate) and my Laptop(running Xp pro) and most of the time it is the flash drive copy-paste-copy method but it is a time consuming method and painfull too when the file gets corrupt(especially when the file size is 1 GB or more).
I had a modem, and I can connect my PC(via wireless) and Laptop(via Ethernet cable) both to the modem and surf net simultaneously. And i wish to setup a file sharing network b/w both the PCs. But the main problem i suffer is the xp and vista difference .
Can anyone pls provide my a sought of tutorial on how to setup the file sharing b/w the 2.
Thanks in advance.

It's pretty simple. Just go to Start > Run and type \\computername
Vista will be able to connect to XP without username but if the other way round, you'll need to provide the username and password.
