Connection after reformat (i can get wireless but not wired :S)

Hi all, i've just reformatted my laptop. Its a Fujitsu Lifebook S-Series. I've manage to install all the drivers from fujitsu's homepage itself and get most of my functions working just fine. However, the strange thing is i cant get connection when i directly plug my laptop into the modem with a wire itself (as in i still get the wireless connection of cos... but there is suppose to be a normal connection as well). Am i missing a driver or anything?? Would be grateful if someone could point me towards the correct direction. Thanks tons.

Have a look in device manager to see if there is a problem with your modem's driver. I suspect you are missing it.
