Lost "Deleted Items" folder dissapeared from Outlook express

    The folder disappeared.
    I cannot delete emails.
Microsoft says I cannot mess with this folder, so I am assuming the file is
corrupted, or hidden for some reason.

    Any help would be AWESOME...

I have been looking for answers for days and am FRUSTRATED IN IOWA..

Thanks for much in advance for any suggestions that I can fix my problem...

    Hi

You likely have a corrupted mail folder.

    - Close Outlook Express.
    - Locate the file "Deleted Items.dbx" (OE5+) in the mail directory and
delete or rename it. You can use 'Start|Find|Files or Folders', "Deleted
Items.??x" to find it. IF you're using Windows XP, it will be hidden,
you'll need to set the search tool to find hidden/system files.
    - Open Outlook Express again. It will create a new empty Deleted Items
    folder.
    - The same process will work for the Inbox folder, Inbox.DBX, should it be
    the problem folder.

    Lost Deleted Items folder

    Dear Junior Teckie...

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU....

I think what finally did it was the Accuratesolution.net. I think.

I installed it and ran it...but could not find the folder.

I had my remove programs window open and ready to delete the program when for some reason I looked at Outlook express...

THERE BIGGER THAN LIFE SAT MY DELETED ITEMS FOLDER....

IT WORKS....i am not sure why but something in running that program must have done something.

I WANT TO PERSONALLY THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO REPLY TO ME AND GIVE ME SUGGESTIONS.

    God Bless you Junior Teckie.
