    Microsoft Office or Open Office?

In your opinion, which do you like better?

I like MS Office. But the problem is MS keep releasing a new office suite every few years and to keep myself up to date, I need to fork out cash to buy it as the crack version are pretty hard to come by.

I like Open Office as is free!

So what do you think? Open Office or MS Office?
Thoughts are like a never ending ocean where it is deep, endless and dangerous

the cracks are easy to get a hold of if you look in the right place... theres a lot of people out there that somehow manage to get themselves copies of internal microsoft discs and release them onto the internet...

If you want to stay legal then stick with openoffice... the only downside ive found with that is sometimes certain files arent always 100% compatible if theyve been created originally in a MS package..

Open office, FTW! Really open office is the better choice, as it is 1) Free, 2) Compatible with MS formats 3) Is updated much more often the MS ever does!

check out his offer. Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 for £35 and you can install on 2 pcs. this software normally costs 10 times this for 1 pc. you just need the login details of someone in a university or college.

it is the same with Microsoft Dreamspark. you can download various software including windows server 2008 for nothing, as long as you can log into a collage or uni. website with a student or teachers password.

I'm more comfortable with MS Office coz I'm using it since grade school days and now the new MS office 2010 will also be available not only on Desktop but also Online.

MS Office is the industry standard in this field but there's always alternative

I also do support Open Office because it's free and yah MS friendly too you only need to familirize yourself with it and it's lighter.

It's up to your productivity needs
