    I will say Open Office cause is free and having used it before. Come on, giv crdit to them. They could make it read adn safe in doc and docx files, it is good.

    Yes...Open Office is good but most of us here are too used to Microsoft Office...it's the same reason why most of us here are using Windows and not Linux despite the fact that Linux is free (usually) and is open-source.

    My needs for an office suite are very limited at this point in time. It would be unwise for me to pay M$ prices for what I need to do. OO.o for me.

    Microsoft Office, for real work, but for all users who require only occasional use of spreadsheet or documents, Open Office is the way to go

    Use it on all the grandkids systems, and they manage just fine with Open Office - cost being a very important factor

    If they get a document they can't open, they send it to me and I convert it - works fine.

    I prefer OO but I have to use Micrisoft Office. Almoust all public servants and companies uses it and I don`t wan`t to have problems thx to format incompability.

    My vote goes to Micrsoft office . Open oofice 3.00 now becomes a sort of bloar ware , as it has to accomodate a whole list of formats.

    That's funny, calling OpenOffice bloated but not MS.. considering OOo is 500 mb and MS Office is nearly 2 gigs now.
