Setup utorrent 1.8.3 for best speeds
I'm using utorrent 1.8.3 and currently downloading a HUGE file. My problem is:
No matter how many times I try, I can't get my utorrent to download at speed more than 32 Kbps. Can u guys suggest any help?
P.S. I have Windows XP SP3, High Speed Broadband connection (100 Mbps), router

Depending on your ISP, you might be getting throttled...

Try Torrent2Exe instead. Read more about it here:
Downloading Torrent Made Easy By Converting it to Executable:
Download Torrents Without A Client Via Torrent2Exe [Windows]
Honestly, I have always had problems downloading torrents using torrent clients (including utorrent) and had given up on torrents. But recently, I am using Torrent2exe as an alternative and it has been working fine for me so far. Just take note that the program will ask you if you want to seed. If you don't wish to, just open up task manager and end download.exe. Only then can then delete the torrent2exe file.
They call me the mysterious one...

just like hellnoir said, ur isp might be limiting ur speed. (fair useage policy). if not try a torrent with good health (check the green bar in miniova)

The torrent's in top shape. And there are about 720 seeders. Do you guys know how to bypass this ISP problem?
I just tested torrent2exe and got the same speed (32 kbps and not more than that). I'm certain that its my ISP. Umm..does using proxies help?Last edited by Bluedot; 10-15-2009 at 02:03 PM.

Proxies would slow you down. About the only thing that might work is encypting your traffic, but even that's not assured to work.

Bye the way whats your internet plan ? and as hellnoire said encrypt your traffic.
And I read some where that to increase your torrent download speed try to add more trackers in your torrents.
