MS Office Access 2007 "cant install because there is no license for it" problem
I recently installed Windows 7 operating system and upon installing Office 2007,I found out that on opening Access,it give me this error
"cant install because there is no license for it"
I dont understand why?? I tried unstalling it,repairng t several times but nothing...
At last finally getting tired I uninstalled and installed office 2003.This time again,it gave me the same error.I was literally shocked.
this problem only seems to occur with Access as others are opening fine. However I find that on opening any office application like word,excel,etc....it keeps configuring it every time i start
I dont understand whats the problem. It worked fine in Xp

Office 2003 is obviously not ready for Windows 7. Office 2007 comes pretty close to being a debacle. I have the Enterprise Edition and was unable to reinstall after an image restore. My solution was to install the Office 2010 beta, which so far works fine.

I think Microsoft unofficially did some tweaking... and locked us to their new office suite when it comes out this upcoming year.
I'm sure there will be some inventive cracker who will fix this... but even then, we can't post it here, as it would be talking about warez and stuff.

If you need to use Microsoft Access, I would assume so, but I'm not sure, as I don't use Microsoft's stuff. I use something called Kingsoft that doesn't have an Access replacement.

I can understand for office 2003, but for 2007 systems requirements clearly says that it is compatible with XP sp2 or later OSs.

error is something related to license. Have you activated license (online) properly after installation completes?"cant install because there is no license for it"__________________________________________

Umm, I tried finding a solution for this but so far, I can only find this:
"There is no license" error message starting Microsoft Access
According to MS, it only applies for Access 97...but try and read it...see if there's anything useful there.
One more thing you can do is try running the setup file as an administrator on Vista...that might be what's causing the problem...I've no idea..it's just a wild guess. They call me the mysterious one...

Even worst....now i downloaded the whole office2010(Beta) and the same nonsense is going on...

Yes...i ran the installer with Admin privileges.
And i tried the above solution..but every time I install office it restores the font back
