    Outpost 7.0 (BETA)

Hi, anyone using Outpost firewall like me?
I read one of Raymond post about firewall, and it seems he's not a firewall fans at all, but who can blame him, with such knowledge like he is, he probably doesn't need it anyway. In my own experience, Outpost firewall version 6.7.1 doesn't bother me at all and I didn't feel any impact on my PC resource or performance, I like it.

so for those of you who use firewall, outpost specially, I just read from their blog that they are about to launch their next version of firewall in beta, Outpost Firewall 7.0, here the link
    http://agnitumblog.blogspot.com/2009...blic-beta.html

And by the way, can anyone give me more information about outpost or any firewall that you know or using, about both the strength and weakness.

    Thanks

I've not uses Outpost Firewall Free before as I can't get it to install on my PC...there's some 'stupid' problems...Outpost think I was using it for commercial purposes when I wasn't...never mind that.

Anyway, I'm using PCTools Firewall Plus right now (it's free) and I'm pretty satisfied with how easy it is to use...I'm not a third-party firewall expert (I've always been using Windows firewall all these while without much problems)

If you really want to 'compare' between different firewall, Matousec Proactive Security Challenge is the right place to go

this is blog annoucement so i would put it in 'general' section... if it's beta software i would place it in 'latest releases' section - but you should flag it as 'beta' in title, so we can easily identify it... giveaway nope.
