    Spin A software to split and increase audio file quality.

    guys what is the best software i can use to split tracks from a session and i also wanted to know if there are softwares that can help to increase the quality of audio files...like turning a 159kbit audio file to 320kbit....??

    Well, you could use Audacity to do both.... but it would be a fake increase in bitrate.

    It's like trying to turn a photo that was shot in 1 megapixel and trying to increase it to 10. Sure you could do it... but with all the artifacts and whatnot in it, it's not worth your time.

    That being said, I'm sure there are some tools that will claim increase without artifacts, but that's because they run it though filters... and that could risk making your music sound worse then it already does.

    It's always best to record at a high bitrate, as high as you can. And if 159kps is your top... I'd stick to that. That's about CD quality, so that's pretty good. Most people won't be able to tell the difference, and if they can, it's only because they're audiophiles.

    Goldwave would give you the same issue with increasing the bitrate though.... it would be a pseudo effect.

    Yup, what you want is pretty much uselessm, hellnoire explained it pretty accurately.

    And about the splitting, the best you could do is split the files into L and R (Stereo) but what would be the point in that anyway if it's a stereo file you can do that in any audio software.
