    I am quite sure that something is missing from the registry.... due to some problem... may be repairing registry editor will help.... but always create a system restore before doing registry changes....

    yeah registry cleaning side effect seems reasonable...
    some days ago i fixed a context menu issue using another util

    @steve948: I faced one problem twice which is somewhat similar to yours (w/o running any registry cleaner), there was no option to create a folder from new menu.. I got help from this..

    yes they are both from nirsofer but they dont display/fix same features. the one that fixed stuborn context menu entry for me (3 registry keys) was the one i quoted, but in no way i'm saying this is a panacea... 'issue' being discussed here is also not clear to me... just my 2 cent for this discussion

    Hey I think I commented about that lightly. Actually I never used any one of that. Just opened their portable version once.. and ShellExView was quite complex looking compared to the other... That's why I told that it is superior...

    Not clear? there's a picture of what's wrong. When i right click the desktop (not a file) or windows explorer (not a file) there're options missing. I tryed the ideas suggested and i still have the same problem
