    What do you mean by install Windows XP by MS-DOS? You can just install Windows XP by booting up the PC with the XP CD.

    Because my friend, Install Windows XP using command promt@MS-DOS. He said this type of installation more quick and easy rather than boot by the XP cd.

    Oh, I think you meant copy XP installation source to hard drive and then install from hard drive?

    well with my windows 98 we used a floppy to f disk then would then install via dos prompt but i dont remember how we did it dad only did it like 3 times before i was into the whole computer thing

    Windows 95. Install MS DOS, install CD-ROM drivers to DOS, then install Windows 95 from CD.

    Windows 98. I had a floppy bootdisk that loads CD-rom drivers automatically. I then copy everything from the windows 98 cd to hard drive and then perform installation from hard drive.

    Windows 2000 and later. Just boot up the CD and install.
