I would take Zone Alarm any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Nothing wrong with Comodo, but Ive always had good luck with Zone Alarm.

NIS didn't even lag on my machine! You must have a 2008 version.

Which version of NIS are you using? If it's NIS 2007 or 2008 then you just need to upgrade to NIS 2009 to get good performance.
On the other hand, if NIS 2009 slows down yor PC then all the other Firewall will slow down your PC even more.

Nis'09 is with me in a damn slow computer, and it doesn't lag it, chk for the version and upgrade to 2009.

I cannot say as I am using KIS 09. But maybe you can take a look at this results publish in this forum entitle firewall test result http://www.raymond.cc/forum/spyware-...st-result.html
Here are the results http://www.matousec.com/projects/fir...ge/results.php
Before using KIS 09, I was using ZoneAlram (ZA).
ZA is not silent. Everything, it will ask for your permission. It might suit you if you like that kind of program.
I cannot comment on comodo as I have never used it.
I would agree with the rest about upgrading your NIS to NIS 09 as I heard it is as good as KIS 09.Last edited by LunarWolf; 01-25-2009 at 12:16 AM.

I like ZoneAlarm because it's very noob friendly. Outpost is a very good product and protects against more stuff than Outpost. Outpost is a light product by my standards and ZoneAlarm is also a light firewall.
