Read the full article here: http://www.neowin.net/news/main/09/1...-leaked-onlineNeowin has received information regarding a possible Windows Live Hotmail "hack" or phishing scheme where password details of thousands of Hotmail accounts have been posted online.
An anonymous user posted details of the accounts on October 1 at pastebin.com, a site commonly used by developers to share code snippets. The details have since been removed but Neowin has seen part of the list posted and can confirm the accounts are genuine and most appear to be based in Europe. The list details over 10,000 accounts starting from A through to B, suggesting there could be additional lists. Currently it appears only accounts used to access Microsoft's Windows Live Hotmail have been posted, this includes @hotmail.com, @msn.com and @live.com accounts.
You should change your account password to be safe !!!Relax, it's only ONES and ZEROS !

Probably via "phishing schemes". and it was hotmail user's fault.
No publish report from Microsoft's Security Response Center yet.Phishing is the practice of sending out fake emails, or spam, written to appear as if they have been sent by banks or other reputable organisations, with the intent of luring the recipient into revealing sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, account IDs, ATM PINs or credit card details.Last edited by ceyfer; 10-06-2009 at 01:34 AM.

I don't really mind if my hotmail password ever get stolen. The theft will find I have a trillion of $$ in emails. He/she just have to reply with name, address and some shipping fee to get trillion $$. You know what I mean.
