PMD.keylogger message with kis2010

i have been using kis2010 version 9.0.0.459 since it came out and have a key valid till another 3 months. i get a peculiar PMD.keylogger message in yellowin the right lower hand corner and then my browser hangs and system shuts dowm.i have not downlaoded any new software recently.scanning with the kis does not show any virus or trojan. when i check the reports after this message i dont see any such detections in the report section of kis2010.

how do i solve this problem and how do i prevent my computer from shutting down?

u better upgrade ur version to 9.0.0.736...actually,kaspersky labs accepted that there are considerable bugs & they requested their users to upgrade to the new version...u can freely upgrade that...in the bottom of the page GUI of KIS2010...,there is a option called "support"...in it there is a option to check ur lab recommendations...u can upgrade only if u have a genuine liscence..

if you are using illegal keys,plz delete it,because i will give a KIS2010 lisence..lolzzz just to encourage you for genuine softwares....

First of all why don't you download the latest version of Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS) which is .736 and which has lots of bugfixes.

Download it here:

And then Report Again.

About the PMD.Keylogger, that is caused by an component of KIS called Proactive Defense this component uses Behavior based technology to define unknown or malicious files, this is the best way to detect unknown malware.

I wonder install the latest version could help as kaspersky update server will download the update patch automatically from server. Hence the older version like 9.0.0.459 will update to 9.0.0.459(a.b.c.d.e). so though the version number is still generally 9.0.0.459 in front but the update patch of 9.0.0.736 had been applied through update. I have similar problem before. The only thing I do is to run registry cleaner. Everything back to normal after restart. The pop-up was came from its proactive defense which put alerts when the file to be deleted could not be found. Everything is ok and just nice-you are not infected either, it's because the proactive defense is too sensitive. Reinstall the security suite might help but that proved to be a harder work than running a registry cleaning from software like glary utilities.
