Google keywords for searches hijacked
I first noticed it on this site, but the problem is probably very wide spread and I am trying to decide how much of an invasion of privacy it is.
What I am seeing is that a Google search string that I typed in several days ago and can have nothing to do with this site is being displayed in a Chitika add with links in the add that probably were provided by a google search on the fly.
Is this disturbing to anyone? The fact that I can go to a site and see keywords in an ad that I have typed in Google and that have obviously come from my search history?
I am still investigating the mechanism for this...

Chitika works with Google Adsense, meaning if you looked up something on Google, Chitka will report it back to you. It's how it and Google make money.
Clear your cookies, including the flash ones, and switch to a different search engine if it bothers you so much. Or Adblock Plus/NoScript it if you run Firefox.
