Rising 2010 released
The new Rising 2010 line has been released. This included Rising Free Antivirus, Rising PRO antivirus, and Rising internet security. Anyone feel like testing the new antivirus?

Thank you Ibrad,
very interesting news.
Just downloading (Raymond made a Rising Antivirus 2010 review if I remember right and he was not impressed).
I wonder if there is a native 64 bit installer too

Last review Raymond made that I could find was Rising 2008 and he said it would be good for those unhappy with Avg and he was impressed. From different reviews I have read Rising has a nice lite hips that is not annoying. I am very interested in how good it can protect a pc.

There's the PCdoctor add on as well. I believe you have to exclude Rising AV and PCdoctor from each other though.

Best thing of this AV I felt which other lacks is Latest Installer Creation Tool.....
Creates installer with the definitions available on ur PC no need to update everything again...
Let me know how good is it, I think i'll too try it as of now I m using only Emsisoft Anti-Malware...."Positivity Is The Key To Life, Never Loose It."

I tried the latest 2010 free version. The installation procedure is lengthy. Resource usage is acceptable. But it has no right click scan option and I can't see it in my vista 64 bit. I would like to scan my pendrive before opening it. So had to uninstall for the lack of this feature.

OK right click scan on 64 bit machines has been an issue t emsisoft too, it will surely work on 32 bit machine...
This feature is always there..
Try on any 32 bit OS you'll find it...
Moreover can u tell wat all features are not working in 64bit as i know earlier version had such issues too..

I use a-squared free. It supports right click scan in vista 64 bit but I can't use it to scan my pendrive because the real time protection of my av warns me that a2 is accessing a file having virus and wants a restart to disinfect. As for Rising it uses less RAM when idle but file copying operation takes a bit longer than with other AVs. Other than this I don't find any shortcomings with Rising.
