Piracy is not stealing...just using our Brains to have a workaround for a product that is not 100% secure.
If Windows was secure enough they wouldn't be any pirates making copies of it..of any WGA patches..but it is not as MS is not having great minds..
whatsoever...i would not like spending $180 on just an OS which requires 10 reboots a day and shows me blue screen (always)
I don;t recon pirated stuff, but if price of OS is 60% of a system, why not go with a workaround or let MS sell their OS for $50...yes the premium version, not home..
Yeppy..

People have been counterfeiting money since it was first introduced into the economy. By your explanation we should all be just fine with being paid with fake money. If Windows was secure enough they wouldn't be any pirates making copies of it..of any WGA patches..but it is not as MS is not having great minds..
Excuses are lame...
And with that. I'm done with replying to this topic.

I can only tell that you don't know the conditions here...
Just a example that the cost of genuine win7 is in 3 figures afaik and in that price you can have a pc here having good configurations with an os already installed. So you now tell me why would anyone will be going to pay that much just for an os and when you can get the whole stuff at your door..
Moreover, most people easily get their jobs done with a non-genuine os even...

I didn't get XP for almost 2 years after it was released and I never owned Vista because I couldn't afford them.
Excuses...
Now I'm really done.

You reminded me of XP.. I tried to get a genuine XP but i got the sp2 and not sp3.. So, i'm compelled to use the pirated sp3..

While I'm a genuine Windows user myself, I can understand why some users choose to pirate...some gives tons of excuses (like evilfantasy said) but there are also users who really have no choice but to pirate it (some are 'forced' to become pirates...they don't do so out of willingness)...
In my opinion, it's not fair to judge a book by it's cover only...you've got to read the contents
I don't recommend anyone to pirate Windows if they're using it for their main work or school purposes...but neither am I against it...as far as I'm concerned, you do what you think is best for you...if you're willing to take 'risks' and save $$$ by pirating, then it's your choice. But please don't ever try to justify your actions with lame excuses if you've got no valid reason (if you've got valid reasons, then fine although there's really no need to)
What I do is to get myself a PC that has Windows pre-installed as I find the retail discs are expensive and I don't build my own PC..
Whatever you choose to do, be a pirate or go genuine, you don't have to explain it to anyone...or force anyone to follow your way...at least that's my principle..sorry if anyone here disagree...They call me the mysterious one...
my motto is...when it's hot, chill baby
