Windows pirates encouraged to install security patches
Interesting article. Basically, even if you do steal their software they want you to patch it. Not doing so puts everyone at risk and enhances the chance that a virus will continue to be spread.
Full article: Windows pirates encouraged to install security patches - USATODAY.comUsers of pirated copies of Windows take heed: you should stay current on all Microsoft security patches just like everybody else.
Microsoft has long had a policy of giving Windows pirates a free pass to download security patches. Yet many of the tens of millions of Windows pirates worldwide may not be aware of this policy, nor trust that Microsoft won't try to somehow penalize them, says Chester Wisniewski, security analyst at Sophos.

Bet many here will scream "Not Me" and yet couldn't do it with a straight face

No discrimination... I liked it..

Guys, can you tell me any site from where i can get all updates and patches fox XP till now..?
Is softwarepatch.com trustable...?

It's not 100% safe. I've seen links to rouge sites there.
If you use Firefox you can use WindizUpdate. Although I'm not sure how current they are. It's clean. http://windizupdate.com/
You can always download the monthly updates from the Microsoft update ISO. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913086Last edited by evilfantasy; 02-08-2010 at 11:54 AM.

I have a question. How come don't you use the Windows Update to download the security patches? Why do you have to find a website to download the security patches?

@luffy
Some users are Windows pirates...and hence they don't feel safe to download directly from Windows updates...that's why they search for alternative 'mirrors'...
P.S. I've never pirated Windows before...I'm a genuine Windows user...
@Evilfantasy
I believe Windizupdates is no longer updating since some time back...perhaps XP pirates might benefit from it but Vista/Win7 users...I don't think so
@ceyfer
You think so? Win-win situation? Perhaps some of the genuine Windows users might disagree...They call me the mysterious one...

I am one of those users of non-genuine Windows (XP and 64-bit WIN7). The only legal version I have had was Vista Home Premium, which was uninstalled within a couple of days due to sucking-pretty-hard.
I have automatic updates on and have my system up-to-date any time of the day (just gotta make sure you donīt install the Windows Genuine Advantage Tool). No problems whatsoever.
If it was up to me, I would be using Ubuntu and Openoffice and go all legal. I donīt need nor like Microsoft at all. But my wife needs the computer as well for her work and canīt handle Linux
