Giveaway of the Day - The Cleaner

The Cleaner never did really catch on but it is a very good product that's been around for years. I have used in malware removal forums from time to time.

Since the full version is free it's a good opportunity to install it as a backup.

Thank you evilfantasy for your opinion

I remember the very first The Cleaner 2.x versions, it was one of the first antitrojan.

I have installed and activated The Cleaner 2010 v 6.x even if I'm not impressed: TClive real time module works, but I coudn't find any autoupdate module.

I notice Ashraf gives it a thumbs down in detecting samples. You too have put it though it's paces... how do you feel it matches up?

Haha. Yes I remember that version. It used to be very slooowww to scan but did a good job. Seems a bit more polished now.

See here. How can I schedule an update on Windows Vista or Windows 7?

    http://www.moosoft.com/customer-service#faq

Edit: I haven't tested it in a while. Just going by past experience.

    Oh crap I missed it.

During SubSeven era, this was the only tool that is able to detect the newly released SubSeven version. But now, most probably it has died down.

I guess I missed it too...but seems like someone leaked the key on the GOTD sticky section...was that key included in a readme.txt file or was it from Activate.exe?

    I don't see the key?

Send it to me in a PM and I'll tell you if it's the same as mine.

    It was from a readme.txt.
And I downloaded The Cleaner from Moosoft webpage, not from GOTD
