Life is all about ass; you're either covering it, laughing it off, kicking it, kissing it, busting it, trying to get a piece of it, or behaving like one.

n1 thathagat, Good to see the review...
Vipre needs to improve a bit on the way it detects...
Even i checked its settings by default it let go unknown programs, check the Advanced Tab under Active then unknown programs change it from Allow to any other option u feel suitable, i guess it should make a bit difference may be while detecting XP Anti*...

Here is the official post by the author of the video:

    http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=266893

According to his videos Nod32 blocked 9 and missed 11

For those of you who are unfamiliar with how AV gain samples please read this article:

    http://blog.avast.com/2009/10/31/wha...e-they-tested/

While the article is promoting Avast, that is not the point I want to highlight.
The point I want to highlight is that Avast blocked an infection from Russia while Norton did not.
Does the article make Avast a better AV than Norton?
Does the youtube video make Vipre a better AV than Nod?

There's a reason why AV are always updating their defintions--because they are trying to protect you from viruses they are discovering.

The only point you should get from both of these is this:

Do something stupid on the internet and Pray to all the Gods you worship that your AV has the file in their definitions.

...except for ginzon....he seems to be located in Hell
