Having observed a few vendor led forum posts showing tests of Browser and Information PC security tools it is probably time for someone to conduct a properly controlled test of products in this category.

We will be happy to sponsor and support a properly conducted test but feel we first need to get a clear picture of the criteria and policies to be used in testing. While AV testing has major difficulties I would expect this category of product should be much easier to test.
