Ok this is strange its been happening for the last 3 days, everytime i run mcafee or search and destroy anti spyware the comp finds viruses but it always shuts down by itself before finishing the scan. Im thinking maybe thats its a virus that doesnt let u finish scanning and removing it or something like that. If i dont run an antivirus scan the comp is fine and doesnt shut down..
Can anyone help ? has it happened to u guys before ? what should i do ?
I think im being watched!
Please help...

Yes download all of them and run the scan one by one.
Which one need to buy?
Antivirus doesn't protect you 100%. This is because there are new virus everyday and it's just unlucky to be infected by one that your McAfee haven't recognize as virus.

i downloaded them and i ran the program the computer does the same thing it does when i run any intivirus antispy program, as soon as it detects something its shuts off. do u think maybe i should go format it and re-install windows ? if i do that what should i use as maximum protection antivirus/antispyware. I already have mcafee which my isp gave me for free, so i can get that again.

Most likely your computer is infected by Brontok virus. I once experience the same issue like you. Whenever I try running anything, it auto restarts.
There's a way on how you can remove the virus but it requires advance level of computer knowledge. Take a look at this article and see if you can understand the procedure. If no, try getting your friend to help you with this method.

If you don't have anything important on your computer, reformatting and reinstalling Windows would be a good idea since you get a clean working Windows again.

I wonder if XP built-in recovery function can help.
Maybe you can try this before formatting your OS.
And how did this virus get into your PC.
It seems to be a very powerful virus.
