Hi Raymond,
do you know if there's any website which provides fake virus for users to test if their
anti-virus program's strong enough to defend their PCs?

Does he mean that even if a file is embeded with a real virus, it still does no harm to user's PC unless the user double click it?

I think,

most virus activate them self but some of them, like zip file you would have to open it, to activate it but I'm not sure.

It depends on the virus... Some needs to run to infect and some don't.

As far as I know there is no fake viruses. Thanks pvg. ESET smart security is working great.
