TSServ.exe creates an autostart entry in the Windows registry, under the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run.

This is a very common and easy to detect autostart location. Can't believe that Trojan Simulator cost $39.95...

trojan simulator is free, TrojanHunter costs $39.95 ( the developer is crazy)

@shan
thats what it is supposed to do. trojan simulator acts as a 'demo trojan' to test your av.

it's a very common technique that trojan simuator uses - so any av will detect it.
so nothing special in mcafee detecting it. i can't judge as i haven't tried mcafee. the last time i used it was 3 yrs ago. but the security research from mcafee needs appreciation - it's often seen in news where mcafee lab detects vulnerabilities & new virus variants (but never successfully incorporates them into their products hehe)

Another bad thing with Mcafee that it was failed to detect and clean an advanced type of virus - I don't trust their solution

Send a message via AIM to NinjaRicer
I say we use BitDefender, Avira, or Kaspersky.

well i did a small research and found there are two types of rising (free and paid). i found it in download.com. paid can be used for 31 days trial while the other can be used for unlimited days.

they both provide the same security itsim.
anyway this is the sticy you need to make a new topic under spyware/viruses.
