As some of you guys know, I have been infected by Vundo yesterday. The weird thing is, as soon as I realized I was infected I firstly installed Panda 2008 and when it failed to detect Vundo I downloaded KAS but it also failed to detect it.

I know it was Vundo as it attached itself to Winlogon & Eplorer, it created random 8 letter dll files in System32, it restricted my internet access which deteriorated to no access at all and it created removalfiles.bat.

I eventually gave up trying to manually remove it as I don't know of a way to get rid of it when attached to Winlogon.

The question now remains, why didn't the 2 AV's pick it up?
